Aspiration and Chemistry

The table below shows the chemistry from the aspiration in the left column to the aspiration in the top row. For example, Family sims get +35 chemistry towards Wealth sims, but Wealth sims are 0 chemistry toward Family. The actual chemistry felt by each is an average of these two numbers, but one-sided chemistry affects the Repulsion Factor described in Other Things That Affect Chemistry.
This table should be used with primary aspirations only. Secondary aspiration has no effect on chemistry.
From/To | Rom | Fam | Wea | Pop | Kno | Plz | Chs |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Romance | +35 | -35 | 0 | 0 | 0 | +35 | -35 |
Family | -35 | +35 | +35 | -35 | +35 | 0 | 0 |
Wealth | 0 | 0 | +35 | +35 | 0 | -35 | -35 |
Popularity | 0 | 0 | 0 | +35 | -35 | +35 | -35 |
Knowledge | -35 | +35 | 0 | 0 | +35 | -35 | 0 |
Pleasure | +35 | -35 | 0 | 0 | -35 | +35 | +35 |
Cheese | 0 | 35 | -35 | -35 | 0 | 0 | +145 |
A few conclusions can be drawn from this:
- Everyone loves their own aspiration; Cheese sims are obsessed with other Cheese sims.
- Other strong attractions will be seen with Family-Knowledge or Romance-Pleasure.
- The worst combinations are Family-Romance, Wealth-Cheese, Popularity-Cheese, or Pleasure-Knowledge.
- Romance is one of the worst aspirations for generating chemistry while the best are Family and Pleasure
